  • Thursday 12 May 2022 Walk to School Week Next week, our school is taking part in Walk to School Week. The five-day walking challenge is an annual celebration of the walk to school, brought to you by Living Streets. The fun and engaging week-long activity for primary schools has been built to make pupils experience first-hand the importance of walking to school. Through this challenge, children will be well on their way to reaching their recommended 60 minutes minimum of physical activity per day before even reaching the school gates!
  • Wednesday 4 May 2022 Incredible Eggs Our duck eggs in Early Years successfully hatched and quickly grew into incredibly cute ducklings as you can see in the photographs. Children and teachers across the school enjoyed watching the ducklings as well as looking for any opportunity to hold them! Sadly our ducklings have now left Belmont and are living in a new home in the countryside.

  • Friday 1 April 2022 Parents Versus Kids Chess - the rematch! Our inaugural parents versus kids chess match in the Autumn term 2021 was a wonderful affair in the kitchen garden. The children took a heavy loss with a 10-2 score to the adults. Not to be deterred, they have worked hard on their chess this term and the score line for the spring term's match reflected that. This time it was a DRAW! 10.5-10.5. And how do you get a 0.5 score in a game of chess Stale mate of course.

We will be celebrating Book Week from Monday 28th February to Friday 4th March and we will also be having our popular book fair during the following week, from Monday 7th March to Friday 11th March.This year World Book Day is on Thursday 3rd March - we would like children todress up on World Book Day as their favourite book character.

  • Monday 17 January 2022 Testing and isolation guidance From Monday 17th January the isolation period will be reduced to 5 days if someone tests negative on day 5 and day 6. The first test must be taken no earlier than day 5 of the self-isolation period, and the second must be taken 24 hours later. All test results should be reported to NHS Test and Trace. Those that continue to test positive will need to isolate until they have 2 consecutive negative tests or have completed their 10 day isolation.

  • Wednesday 17 November 2021 YEAR 5&6 CROSS COUNTRY Last week, a team of 11 athletes travelled to Osterley Park to take part in a Hounslow borough cross country event. The children ran against 22 local schools and there were over 200 children that took part in the 1.6km run. Despite the rain, the children had an amazing time and demonstrated excellent resilience and determination as always.
