Belmont Cricketers

The Kwik Cricket Club has been very popular this term with over 20 children in Year 5  and 6 taking part. From this squad we sent 10 children to compete in the Chiswick and Brentford Cluster competition where they won silver medals!

They qualified for the Borough Finals where they came third in their group. They did a great job, having not had many weeks of training. Thanks to Dan Waddell who is coaching them, supported by Mr Coyle and to Vicki Bridges who accompanied them to the competitions.

After the Belmont cricket team qualified from the first round we progressed to the Hounslow finals. This round was done in groups. Every group consisted of four teams our group had Victoria, Green Dragons, Spring Grove, and of course Belmont. Our first game was going well until one amazing batsmen hit 3 sixes and 1 four in an over. Unfortunately for that we lost the match. After that loss we beat Victoria and lost to Spring Grove. We ended third in our group and green dragons qualified. Our cricket journey sadly ended there.
