Belmont Aftercare is available for parents who require extended school provision for their children. The scheme has been in place for many years and provides a safe and fun environment for children before and after the school day. It is based in the canteen building and the children also use the playground and MUGA.
Breakfast Club: 7.45am to 8.55am every morning
£4.50 per session (£3.50 per session if booked and paid at the start of each term)
For breakfast each day there is a choice of porridge, cereals, toast and fruit, with juice.
Children are taken to their class lines in the morning at the start of the school day.
Aftercare Club: 3.15pm to 6.00pm every day
£8.50 per session (£7.50 per session if booked and paid at the start of each term)
Aftercare includes a light 'tea' a menu of which is up in the canteen for parents to see. Examples include a slice of pizza and a small cookie, or crackers and cheese.
The class teacher takes children over to Aftercare each day at 3.15pm. Children can also go from clubs to Aftercare and the Aftercare team are given registers of children attending clubs.
There are a huge range of activities available in the aftercare and breakfast club setting with a library corner, lots of board games, drawing, colouring and other crafts , Lego and lots of toys. In good weather the children also play outside and sometimes have a sports coach to run special sport sessions for them.
Reception children will be given a key worker to settle them in to the scheme.
Occasionally we have special events in aftercare. Most recently Local author and Belmont alumna Zoe Antoniades provided an amazing creative writing workshop and story-telling session.
To book a place in Aftercare please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of your child, class, what days you require and if you pay using childcare vouchers.
