World Mental Health Day
Tuesday 10th October is World Mental Health Day with the aim of raising awareness of mental health and encouraging us to all talk about it more with friends and family. ITV Britain Get Talking is also promoting this event and have created a homework task for children to do with their parents. It is all about talking about their worries. On Tuesday, children from Year 2 to Year 6 will watch a short video presentation from Ant and Dec in which they explain the homework. We will then send this home in paper form on Tuesday for Year 2 to Year 6 children. Please find time over the next week to sit down with your child and discuss this with them. They do not need to bring anything back to school.
Below is a link to more information about World Mental Health Day and a link to the ITV Get Britain Talking website. It explains the homework task and there are some tips at the bottom of the page for having difficult conversations.
